At StudioBackdrops.com, our goal is to provide high-quality, professional-grade products with a seamless customer experience. We follow stringent quality control processes to ensure every order is perfect before dispatch. However, we understand there may be instances where returns, replacements, or cancellations are necessary. The following policy outlines our procedures to ensure customer satisfaction while protecting against misuse.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Returned items must be in new condition, with all original tags, packaging, accessories, manuals, warranty cards, and an intact MRP sticker.
  • Products showing visible signs of wear or use will not be accepted.
  • Discounted or sale products are final and not eligible for return or exchange unless defective.
  • All return/replacement requests must include an unboxing video clearly showing the product’s condition upon first opening.
  • Lack of an unboxing video may result in denial of the return or delay in resolution.

A. DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

  • If outer packaging is visibly damaged at delivery, customers are advised to refuse delivery and inform us immediately. The replacement will be organised by us directly.
  • If the package is accepted with visible damage, the delivery slip must be signed noting the damage.
  • All product damage/defect claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with an unboxing video.
  • Upon verification, a replacement will be issued. If necessary, the product may be picked up for inspection.
  • Damage reported after the 3-day return window will not be accepted.
  • Defect constitutes any flaw or shortcoming in the product that hinders its usability. Any imperfections in the appearance of the product does not constitute a defect.

B. BUYER’S REMORSE (OR NON-DEFECTIVE RETURNS)

  • If a product matches the website description (including size/quality) but is no longer wanted, you may request a return for store credit or product exchange.
  • A 30% restocking fee applies. This may be increased in certain cases based on product condition.
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated.
  • StudioBackdrops.com reserves the right to refuse any return or replacement at its discretion.

C. SIZE / COLOUR DISCREPANCY

  • Product sizes are listed accurately, and colours are represented using professional calibration tools.
  • Size or colour-based returns/exchanges are not accepted.
  • In rare cases where an exception is granted, a minimum 30% restocking fee applies.

D. ORDER CANCELLATION

  • Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placement by filling the Cancellation Request Form.
  • After 12 hours or once dispatched, orders cannot be modified or cancelled.
  • Orders placed during sales or with discounts are final and non-cancellable.
  • StudioBackdrops.com reserves the right to deduct payment gateway charges from any refund.
  • Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC RETURN WINDOWS

Paper Backdrops

  • Non-returnable due to their fragile and oversized nature.
  • Defective or wrong item? Refer to Section A. Inspection may be required before issuing replacement.

Fabric Backdrops (Muslin, Polyester, Portable)

  • 3 Days Replacement Only for defective or wrong items (as per Section A).
  • No size/colour-based returns.

Lighting & Studio Equipment

  • 3 Days Replacement Only for damage/defect, reported within 24 hours with an unboxing video.

Pro Audio Equipment

  • 3 Days Replacement Only for damage/defect, reported within 24 hours with an unboxing video.

Handpainted Backdrops

  • Made-to-order and non-returnable.
  • If defective, follow Section A for resolution with unboxing video and 24-hour notice.

 

RETURN PROCESS

  1. Fill the Return Request Form within the applicable return window.
  2. Allow 24–48 hours for review and approval.
  3. If approved, return pickup will be arranged.
  4. Package the product securely in its original packaging.
  5. Product will be inspected upon arrival.
  6. Once approved, store credit or exchange will be processed within 5–7 business days.

RETURN ABUSE POLICY

We reserve the right to refuse future returns, cancel orders, or withhold refunds/credits in cases of suspected abuse, including:

• Excessive return frequency
• Fraudulent or manipulated claims
• Repeated cancellations

 

LEGAL JURISDICTION

All return and refund policies are governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and applicable laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in the Union Territory of Delhi.
