The AriesX Focusing Rod System with Sandbag is a simple and affordable way to upgrade your lighting setup. This tool can easily remove the need for extra light modifiers in your studio. The focusing rod system transforms an ordinary softbox into a parabolic system, giving you total control over the focus and quality of light. With its convenient rod mechanism you can produce hard focused light, soft diffused light and everything in between.

Total Lighting Control

The AriesX Focusing Rod System gives you an indirect and focusable light mount, allowing you to position your light as you need. The light reflected into the softbox from your flash or LED is easier to control. The reflected light gives you complete control over the quality of the light. You get more dimensionality, smooth and even light coverage and richer details in skin.

In fact, with this tool you get natural highlights, smoother mid-tones and shadow transitions and no hotspots. The clean, crisp and superior quality of light it gives is impossible to achieve with direct facing modifiers and lights. And by adjusting the focusing rod, you get a range of lighting options and you can turn hard or specular light to soft and diffused light easily.

Multiple Mounting Configurations

You can easily mount your softbox on the Bowens Mount point at the top of the focusing rod system. To install your light you can utilize either of the two installation points provided. The first is a Cage Mount which is also a Bowens Mount point. The second is a spigot where you can insert the light easily. Both the points are secure and provide a firm grip of your light. The focusing rod is adjustable and you can move your light back and forth along it however you need. It also has a 180° swivel mechanism so you can tilt the light at any angle.

Sturdy & Durable Construction

The AriesX Focusing Rod System is made of stainless steel and aluminium, making it sturdy enough to withstand years of rough use. The entire system weighs 1.2kg, making it hefty yet easily usable. It comes with its own sandbag to help you counter the weight of your light and softbox. The entire system has a load capacity of 5kgs and you can utilize any light or softbox with it to achieve your desired lighting.
