Why colours may look different
Screen: Screens use RGB light to simulate colours, while physical materials use dyes and pigments. Screens or photography cannot perfectly reproduce a physical colour. Manufacturers also estimate a 15-20% variation across displays.
Lighting: We photograph all backdrops with 2 AriesX Xpress 600s, both mounted with AriesX Translucent Umbrellas pointed at the backdrop at 45 degrees. AriesX flashes have a spectral output closest to natural daylight in a controlled environment. We use this setup to achieve the most neutral, accurate colour rendering possible. The same product will look noticeably different under LED, tungsten, fluorescent or even daylight at different times of the day. If you want to recreate the website image, you will need to use the same lighting setup as us.

The major difference between the Muslin and Canvas options is the thickness. Muslin is 165gsm and Canvas is 250gsm. Muslin is lighter and comes folded in a box. Canvas is thicker and comes rolled around a cardboard core.
This is a handpainted backdrop made in either 165gsm muslin or 250gsm canvas. Both versions are natural fabrics and can develop wrinkles. You can easily remove them using a steam iron.
You can easily install this backdrop as it is compatible with various backdrop mounting systems. The muslin version has a fabric loop which is called a rod pocket and you can easily insert any crossbar into it. The canvas version comes ready as it is rolled around a cardboard core.
To keep all the colours and textures of the backdrop perfect, we recommend storing it in its original packaging. Use the plastic sleeve and cardboard box to keep the backdrop in the best shape. Keep it away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.
If you want to get images as our website product photos, you will need to recreate our lighting setup. Use two AriesX 600W flashes and two translucent umbrellas to get the most flat lighting possible with neutral colour rendering.
