Both fabrics are premium Indian cotton meant for handicrafts. The muslin is 165gsm and it is lightweight and foldable. That’s why it comes folded in a box and is extra portable and easy to store. It makes an ideal choice for you to do frequent shoots on location. It is also great when you require a quick and easy setup. Its soft texture ensures flexibility without compromising on quality.
The 250gsm canvas offers a luxurious feel and it comes rolled around a sturdy cardboard core. This maintains the crease-free surface of this canvas background. The canvas provides a smoother and more saturated finish to enhance the rich tones and intricate details of the backdrop. It is also less prone to wrinkles as the coat of paint makes it much thicker. Why colours may look different
Screen: Screens use RGB light to simulate colours, while physical materials use dyes and pigments. Screens or photography cannot perfectly reproduce a physical colour. Manufacturers also estimate a 15-20% variation across displays.
Lighting: We photograph all backdrops with 2 AriesX Xpress 600s, both mounted with AriesX Translucent Umbrellas pointed at the backdrop at 45 degrees. AriesX flashes have a spectral output closest to natural daylight in a controlled environment. We use this setup to achieve the most neutral, accurate colour rendering possible. The same product will look noticeably different under LED, tungsten, fluorescent or even daylight at different times of the day. If you want to recreate the website image, you will need to use the same lighting setup as us.

The muslin and canvas versions of this backdrop are different thickness. Muslin is 165gsm, lightweight, and portable as it comes folded in a box. Canvas is 250gsm, thicker, more durable and comes rolled up on a cardboard core.
Harbour Grey is a handpainted backdrop made in either 165gsm muslin or 250gsm canvas. Both versions are natural fabrics and can develop wrinkles. You can easily remove them using a steam iron.
Yes, this backdrop is excellent for professional photography and videography thanks to its seamless, matte finish and non-reflective properties. The premium cotton material eliminates unwanted glare and provides even colour coverage for professional results.
You can easily install this backdrop onto a backdrop stand, pulley mount or motorized roller. The muslin version has a rod pocket so you need to insert the crossbar inside it. The canvas comes rolled on a cardboard core so you can insert any crossbar inside this core.
The backdrop colour may vary slightly from what you see in the website images. This is a handpainted product and final images can look different due to creative lighting used in product photography and differences in screen displays. Colours depicted may vary slightly, so consider this when planning your shoots.
