The handpainted backdrop is available in two versions – 165gsm Muslin and 250gsm Canvas. Muslin is lighter and easier to handle. It is also easier to store as it takes up less space. Canvas retains paint better, giving you a more decadent surface. It is also thicker and less prone to wrinkles. Overall, the canvas will also last you longer as the fabric ensures durability.

Why colours may look different
Screen: Screens use RGB light to simulate colours, while physical materials use dyes and pigments. Screens or photography cannot perfectly reproduce a physical colour. Manufacturers also estimate a 15-20% variation across displays.
Lighting: We photograph all backdrops with 2 AriesX Xpress 600s, both mounted with AriesX Translucent Umbrellas pointed at the backdrop at 45 degrees. AriesX flashes have a spectral output closest to natural daylight in a controlled environment. We use this setup to achieve the most neutral, accurate colour rendering possible. The same product will look noticeably different under LED, tungsten, fluorescent or even daylight at different times of the day. If you want to recreate the website image, you will need to use the same lighting setup as us.

The muslin and canvas versions of this backdrop are different thickness. Muslin is 165gsm, lightweight, and portable as it comes folded in a box. Canvas is 250gsm, thicker, more durable and comes rolled up on a cardboard core.
It is very easy to install either version of this backdrop. The muslin has a rod pocket for quick and easy crossbar insertion. The canvas backdrop has a cardboard core in which can also insert any crossbar. Both versions are compatible with different backdrop mounts.
Pecan Brushwork Canvas backdrop cannot be washed or dry cleaned. If you wash the product, it will destroy the design of the product which is carefully painted by hand.
We recommend you store this backdrop in its original packaging with both the plastic sleeve and cardboard box. It will keep the product sealed away and reduce any chances of damage from moisture, sunlight, dust or heat.
The colour of this handpainted backdrop can vary due to differences in lighting, computer screens and monitor calibration settings. There can also be minor variations because it is painted to order. To recreate the same results as ours, you will need to use the lighting setup explained at the bottom of the product page..
