Black Marsh is a Brushwork canvas background made to order. This backdrop features an innovative new painting method that is a combination of our Airbrushing and texture-adding techniques. The combined effect comes with a top layer of hard brush strokes to break up the monotony. This technique adds extra depth and texture to the backdrop.
This canvas background is painted by hand by our talented artisans. Every photo video backdrop is made with the finest quality Indian cotton fabric. We also use only the best fine art paints to achieve perfect results. The new designs added to our collection are based on the trendiest products in the market.
Canvas Background Available in Two Fabrics:
This photo video backdrop is available in two fabric options. You can choose the 165gsm muslin or the 250gsm canvas. Muslin is folded and packaged in a box. The canvas version of the backdrop comes rolled around a cardboard core. Muslin is lighter and easy to handle. It can be easily transported and easily stored also. Canvas is a thicker fabric and heavier. But it is less prone to wrinkles and absorbs paint better. It also has a longer life.
The exquisite details and vibrant colours make our brushwork backdrops works of art in themselves. Each backdrop is painted once ordered to make sure you get a fresh product with distinct features and rich, vivid colours. As every studio background is painted to order, please allow 5-6 working days for it to be painted and dried before it is shipped. Kindly do not consider the time taken to paint as part of the delivery timeline.

Why colours may look different
Screen: Screens use RGB light to simulate colours, while physical materials use dyes and pigments. Screens or photography cannot perfectly reproduce a physical colour. Manufacturers also estimate a 15-20% variation across displays.
Lighting: We photograph all backdrops with 2 AriesX Xpress 600s, both mounted with AriesX Translucent Umbrellas pointed at the backdrop at 45 degrees. AriesX flashes have a spectral output closest to natural daylight in a controlled environment. We use this setup to achieve the most neutral, accurate colour rendering possible. The same product will look noticeably different under LED, tungsten, fluorescent or even daylight at different times of the day. If you want to recreate the website image, you will need to use the same lighting setup as us.

There are several differences between the Muslin and Canvas options. They are different thicknesses. The muslin is 165gsm and canvas is 250gsm. Muslin has a rod pocket for installation and canvas is rolled around a cardboard core.
Black Marsh Brushwork backdrop is available in 3 sizes: 6ft x 9ft, 8ft x 12ft, and 9ft x 16ft. Each size is suited for different types of photography. If you want a size you can use for different types of shoots, go for the 9ft x 16ft. It will give you the space to shoot larger setups without compromising things like wide angle shots
No, this backdrop is not reflective or shiny. It has a completely matte surface and gives you no glares, hotspots or reflections. The light absorbent fabric is ideal for professional studio shoots.
